Corporate Office

Our corporate office is located in the heart of the Midwest in the metropolitan city of Omaha, NE. The corporate office positions support our nationwide field crew operations, our fixed facilities and Omaha Track Equipment.

Field Crews

Our traveling field crews work alongside Class 1 railroads as they replace their railroad infrastructure across the United States.

RibbonWeld

Our RibbonWeld facility located in Springfield, MO. is a flash-butt fixed welding plant generating continuous welded rail.

Pueblo

Our Pueblo Rail Yard located in Pueblo, Colorado provides material processing, which includes: Grading, Testing , Sorting, Storage and Disposal.

Millard Rail Yard

Our Millard Rail Yard located in Omaha, NE provides switching and transloading services in addition to railroad material grading, testing, sorting, and storage.

LaCrosse

Our grinding facility located in LaCrosse, WI processes scrap railroad ties and other railroad material into chips for co-generation fuel.

Hazen Yard

Our railroad tie sorting facility located in Hazen, NV processes railroad ties for both the Burlington Northern and the Union Pacific railroads. These ties are graded, sorted, and sold to customers all over the Western United States.

OTC Yard

Our Rail Yard located in Chicago Heights, IL provides switching and transloading services in addition to railroad material grading, testing, sorting, and storage. The railroad material is then re-purposed to the highest and best use.

TM Track Machines

TM Track Machines provides repair services to Locomotives, Railcars, and other Maintenance of Way Equipment

Iron Junction

Iron Junction Logistics specializes in brokering and hauling Heavy Equipment, Railroad Materials, other like materials for the Railroad and Construction Industry.

Granite City

The Granite City terminal provides services to the coal tar and petroleum industries including car cleaning and waste disposal. The terminal is located in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Omaha Track Equipment

Omaha Track Equipment (OTE) specializes in sales, rentals, and servicing of both the Railroad and Construction industry. OTE can custom build, fabricate and maintains all types of Maintenance of Way (MOW) equipment, or construction equipment.

Ties2

Ties2 specializes in the processing of scrap railroad ties and other rail materials into high-quality chips for use in co-generation fuel. Serviced by leading railroads CN, CP, BN, and Union Pacific.

Omaha Track Equipment - Kansas City

Omaha Track Equipment - Kansas City (OTE - KC) specializes in sales, rentals, and servicing of both the Railroad and Construction industry. OTE - KC can custom build, fabricate and maintains all types of Maintenance of Way (MOW) equipment, or construction equipment.

Health & Welfare Benefits

Benefit Eligibility

Omaha Track offers health and welfare benefits to all full-time employees. New salaried employees are eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment. New hourly employees are eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.

Omaha Track offers a high-deductible medical plan, coupled with a self-funded Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). The HRA reduces the in-network deductible to an out-of-pocket maximum of $2,500 for employee only coverage, and $5,000 for employee with dependent coverage. The employee contribution is deducted pre-tax on a weekly basis as indicated in the table to the left. This weekly cost includes medical and dental coverage.

Omaha Track also offers vision coverage to employees. Our vision plan through Ameritas offers coverage through VSP’s Choice Network. The weekly cost of vision benefits are outlined in the table to the left.

Dental coverage is available to those employees who waive medical. Coverage is through Ameritas and includes an employer contribution to employees who waive coverage under the medical plan. Here is the weekly cost of “dental only” benefits.

Health Savings Account

Employees that participate in Omaha Track’s medical plan have the opportunity to elect to have a Health Savings Account (HSA). Omaha Track encourages employees to establish a HSA by providing a one-time initial employer contribution, as well as an annual dollar-for-dollar match up $300/year for employee only coverage, and $600/year for employee with dependent coverage.

Disability & Life Insurance

Omaha Track provides, at no cost to the employee, short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance to all eligible employees. Employees also have the opportunity to elect additional voluntary term life and voluntary AD&D insurance for themselves, as well as their spouse and/or children.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Omaha Track provides all employees and their dependents EAP services at no cost. This includes short-term counseling, dependent care information and referrals, and legal and financial services, including consultations and referrals. Employees also have access to the EAP website which has a host of health and wellness resources and webinars.

Accident and Critical Illness Insurance

Omaha Track offers accident and critical illness insurance through Allstate Benefits. No one plans on having an accident or getting seriously ill, it happens unexpectedly. These coverages are designed to work with your existing health insurance, and company provided disability coverage. Both of these benefit options provide cash benefits paid directly to you to help you pay for out-of-pocket expenses and medical costs that your health insurance may not cover. They are portable, which means if your employment ends, you can take your coverage with you.

401(k) Plan

The Omaha Track 401(k) plan is offered to all employees meeting the service and hours requirements under the plan. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in the plan on the 1st of the month following 60 days of continuous employment. Employee contributions up to 18% of compensation will be eligible for an employer match.

Compensation

Holiday Pay

Omaha Track provides all regular, full-time employees with eight (8) paid holidays. Holidays observed are: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Employees are eligible for Holiday Pay immediately.

Personal Time Off (PTO)

Personal time off (PTO) is available to all full-time, regular employees assigned to the Corporate Office, OTC, Pueblo Yard, RibbonWeld, LaCrosse, WECO Rail Yard, and Omaha Track Equipment. Eligible employees will be credited eight (8) hours of PTO after 90 days of continuous employment, and will then receive a credit of eight (8) hours per quarter during the first calendar year of employment. As of January 1st each calendar year, employees are credited 32 hours of PTO to be used during the calendar year.

Bereavement Pay

Omaha Track will provide all regular, full-time employees with bereavement leave of up to three (3) working days due to the death of an immediate family member. Omaha Track defines “immediate family” as your spouse, parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, or sibling, as well as your spouse’s child, parent, or sibling.

Omaha Track is committed to the ongoing development of our employees. We believe that in order to continue to grow our business, we must continue to invest in our team. For this reason, we offer tuition reimbursement, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) reimbursement, and other professional and technical development opportunities. Those individuals who demonstrate strong performance and have a desire to learn and grow with the company will see opportunities for development and advancement within the organization.

Tuition Reimbursement

Omaha Track believes in the value education provides to our employees and the company. For this reason, we offer a program to help our employees achieve career-related educational goals. Full-time employees who have completed one (1) year of continuous employment may participate in the Tuition Reimbursement Program. This program covers accredited colleges and universities, as well as trade and technical schools.

CDL Reimbursement

As part of Omaha Track’s commitment to each employee’s professional growth, we will reimburse full-time, regular employees who have completed at least 90 days of continuous employment with the total cost required to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), not exceeding $600.

Are you experienced in rail and/or tie pick-up within the railroad industry? We utilize subcontractor partnerships on an as needed basis and are always open to evaluating new partnerships.
