The Attalla, Alabama facility is our first tie processing location in the eastern United States. This site is a key part of our expansion into railroad tie recycling and biomass fuel production in the Southeast. Strategically located in northeast Alabama near Gadsden, the facility specializes in processing used railroad ties into high-quality biomass chips, providing a reliable and sustainable energy source for regional industries.
The Attalla facility currently processes ties sourced from a class 1 railroad and supplies biomass fuel to a cement company, supporting their ambitious carbon-neutral initiatives. By turning railroad ties into renewable energy fuel, we help reduce landfill waste and provide a locally sourced, sustainable biomass solution for cement, paper, and power producers.
Backed by over 40 years of expertise in tie disposal and recycling, Omaha Track delivers proven excellence, innovation, and reliability. Our Attalla facility showcases leadership in sustainable biomass production while strengthening supply chains across the region. As demand grows, this site will serve as a foundation for expanding recycled material processing for additional customers and markets in Alabama and beyond.
